Optimized for enterprise-level high-capacity storage applications, Supermicro’s SC847Series Chassis features 72x 3.5″ Hot-swap HDD bays as SAS3 server chassis, or 90x 3.5” Hot-swap HDD bays as SAS3 JBOD. Or 36x (24 front + 12 rear) 3.5″ Hot-swap HDD bays as server chassis or 44x (24 front + 20 rear) 3.5″ Hot-swap HDD bays as SAS3 JBOD chassis in a 4U space. The SC847 design offers extra high-density of HDD per space ratio in a 4U form factor, high power efficiency, optimized HDD signal trace routing and improved HDD tray design to dampen HDD vibrations and maximize performance. Equipped with 2000W Titanium level (96%), or 1280W Platinum level(95%) high-efficiency redundant power supplies and 7 hot-plug redundant cooling fans. SC847 with SAS3 support is the work horse for high density storage applications and a reliable, hassle-free maintenance storage system.
